The George Kenny School of Chainsaw Carving has the unique distinction of offering classes to chainsaw carver wannabees. George Kenny’s creative talents for carving and teaching are renowned throughout the western United States and beyond. Many of his pieces are on display in Washington, California, Arizona, Oregon and Nevada.
About 12 years ago, George began teaching himself the art of chainsaw carving in order to keep up with the demand for carvings sold at his gallery and gift shop in Allyn, Washington.
Passion, practice, perseverance and more practice brought him success. After winning the Oregon State Chainsaw Carving Championship in 2002, George decided it was time to share his knowledge and expertise with student carvers.
